Securely store and share documents in the digital service
Where were those documents again? Are they on a computer, in some kind of digital service, or on paper? These types of discussions were too common an occurrence in the Taipale family. Sound familiar?
Laura and Hannes Taipale bought their first home a year ago, and six months later, their first child Vilja was born. The family of three enjoyed their comfortable three-bedroom apartment in the city centre, but there was not much of a support network in the surrounding areas. This was a shame, because Hannes' shoulder was still not fully functional after recent surgery, and a helping hand was needed with Vilja. Hannes bought a car to make it easier for the family to visit their grandparents in Eastern Finland.
Securely store and share documents in the digital service Where were those documents again? Over time, more and more important documents started accumulating. The cabinets started to fill up, and the documents ended up in scattered plastic folders. Was there another solution? One thing was for sure: there was no need to have any more folders lying around.
Having just one storage location saved time and made for a smoother everyday life
When Laura took Vilja swimming, she heard about MyHomesID, which another family had starting using during their house construction project. Laura decided to try the service and immediately uploaded the mortgage agreement, housing documents, documents for their new car, documents related to Hannes' surgery, insurance documents, and Vilja’s papers and other documents from the clinic.
Laura also stored the documents for her tattoo studio, and Hannes stored his bartending training documents. The couple photographed and uploaded the paper documents into the service as PDF files. While paper versions could naturally not all be discarded, there was suddenly a lot more free space in the cabinets. Their stress seemed to be relieving, too.
The smart couple had signed a prenuptial agreement, and each had their own guardianship authorisation. All the documents were stored safely in MyHomesID. The young couple knew that it was worth taking care of important matters, because you never know what tomorrow will bring.
Involvement of loved ones brought peace of mind
Hannes decided to share some of the documents with his own parents. If needed, MyHomesID allows the grandparents to check matters related to the couple’s property, finances and health, or even the family’s travel plans.
Hannes also liked the possibility to share documents with a third party if they decided to sell their apartment, apply for new insurance, or replace the car with a more spacious one.
Laura also uploaded notes on the baby's eating, sleeping, and care routines to MyHomesID. One evening, when they left their child with the grandparetns to go to the cinema, they didn't have to worry about whether granny would remember to give Vilja her evening milk or bring her bunny when she went to bed.
